4. Enabling children and adults to further their education. We believe “Education is the single most powerful weapon you can use to change the world”. So did Nelson Mandela when he said this. Our research has shown us that in societies where the means to an education is provided and encouraged, the benefits of education do not just serve individuals and their families but society at large. According to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), 1.7 million fewer children would suffer from stunting, a sign of malnutrition, if all women completed primary education levels. Education contributes to a more varied diet which reduces the prevalence of malnutrition. Studies have shown education leads to better health, longer life expectancy with higher quality of life along with the ability to generate income, promote independence, fight gender inequality and reduce poverty.
